Family status with future enrollments

How does a family who is only enrolled in a future activity avoid being changed to inactive?

Resolution

When a student has an enrollment date in the future, the family is considered inactive until the future enrollment date occurs and the student actually starts the class. The family status will automatically update every night based on that criterion, even if you manually update it.
