Understand how Tuition Billing Methods determine how tuition is calculated for Classes.
Solution
Tuition Billing Methods determine how Jackrabbit calculates tuition for each Class. Each Class is assigned one Billing Method, which is used when posting Tuition Fees and applying discounts.
Jackrabbit supports two Tuition Billing Methods:
- By Class Fee - Tuition is calculated using the Tuition Fee assigned to each Class. This method is commonly used when each Class has its own tuition amount.
- By Total Hours - Tuition is calculated using the total instructional hours and a Fee Schedule. This method is commonly used when tuition is based on the total number of instructional hours rather than individual Class fees.
Different Billing Methods can be assigned to different Classes. Each Class can have only one Billing Method assigned.
If a Class does not have a Billing Method assigned, it will not be included when posting Tuition Fees.
