Edit All Classes - An Overview

The new Edit All Classes tool streamlines class management by bringing filtering, comparison, and editing into a single workspace. Instead of opening and reviewing classes one at a time, you can narrow your focus to a specific group of classes, compare their settings, update individual classes, or apply the same changes to multiple classes at once.

Designed for managing groups of classes efficiently, the tool helps you make changes with confidence by allowing you to review proposed updates before they're applied.

๐Ÿš€ Get started with Edit All Classes

  • Ensure your user has both the Edit All Classes and Edit Class Summary tab permissions.

  • Access the tool from Classes menu > Edit All Classes.

  • Select Try the new version to open the redesigned experience.

  • Consider which group of classes you want to manage, since the tool is designed to work with filtered sets of classes rather than your entire class list.

๐Ÿ“‹ How Edit All Classes works

The Edit All Classes tool begins by filtering your class list to a specific group of classes. Once filters are applied, the Edit All Classes grid displays only the matching classes and becomes your workspace.

From the grid, you can:

  • Update supported fields directly for an individual class.
  • Open a class record to view or edit fields that aren't available in the grid.
  • Compare multiple classes to identify differences in their settings.
  • Use Mass Edit to apply the same changes across multiple selected classes.
  • Review proposed Mass Edit changes before confirming them.

Mass Edit updates only the fields you specify. Fields left blank remain unchanged, allowing you to update selected settings without affecting the rest of each class. Supported fields can also be cleared when needed.
