Prevent Staff from logging time from their cell phones

Issue/Question


We want to avoid employees logging their time entry from their cell phones or anywhere other than the workplace.

Resolution


The Time Clock Staff Portal feature settings can be set to restrict remote access.

  1. Go to the Staff menu > Staff Portal > Portal Settings 
  2. In the Features section, ensure Allow Remote Time Clock is set to No
  3. Save Changes

To access the Time Clock when remote access is restricted, staff members will need to log into a Staff Portal that has been launched by a Jackrabbit User (Staff > Staff Portal > Launch Staff Portal).
