Editing an existing scheduled task (automation)
Issue/Question
How do I make a change to a scheduled task I have already created?
Resolution
You can update some details of a scheduled (automated) task after it’s created - but not the processing criteria or settings.
What you can edit:
- Task Name
- Next Run Date/Time
- Recurrence
- Email reminder selection
What you can't edit:
- Criteria and settings selected for a tuition posting task (Post Later)
- Criteria and settings selected for an ePayment processing task (Process Later)
To change any criteria or processing settings, delete the task and create a new one with the updated selections.
Udpate an editable field:
- Go to the Transactions menu > Automation > Task Management
- Click the Row menu icon (3 dots) for the task to be updated and select Edit
- Update the editable fields as needed and click Next
- Optionally update the email reminder selection
- Click Save
