Put a student on hold in an active family

Can I archive a student who is no longer part of our rosters, when their siblings are still active?
Resolution
Archiving applies to an entire family, but you do have the ability to put an inactive student on hold.
In order to hold a student, the family must be active, have at least two students, and have a combination of active and inactive students.
To put a student on hold:
- Navigate to the Student record.
- Click the Hold Student button.
- A pop-up window will give the option to download this student's attendance/absence data. If needed, select an option to download this data.
- Click Yes, Hold Student to confirm the hold.
Once the hold is confirmed, a banner will display to notify you of the student's hold status.
⚠️ Setting this student to hold status will cause permanent loss of the following data:
- Absence or attendance history
- Fixed fee information
- Resources added to the student
