Family uses same email address at another Jackrabbit business
Issue/Question
A parent who already uses Jackrabbit for another organization cannot register their student under the same email address. Can this be adjusted, or do they need to create their parent portal for our organization with an alternate email address?
Resolution
Each Jackrabbit organization is given a unique 6-digit Organization ID. This ID is attached to all your specific URL's. Staff Portal, Parent Portal, etc. Since each Parent Portal is technically unique by including your Organization ID. Parents should be able to use the same email for different businesses that also use Jackrabbit.Â
Here are some tips that can help make this easier to navigate for Parents.
- Add your Organization's Logo to display in the Parent Portal for easy identification.
- Make sure that you are familiar with the different organization's ID in the URL. This can help make sure you are trying to log into the correct one.Â
- Consider disengaging any browser-based password managers. It is a common occurrence for them to prefill based on the last visited, instead of loading a unique one based on the unique ID.
- If using Password Managers, consider using separate browsers. For example, one could be accessed via Google Chrome, and a second one could be accessed via Firefox.Â
