Offer priority enrollment to active families

Issue/Question

Is there a way to make registration exclusive to families currently enrolled in classes without giving access to the general public?

Resolution

There are a couple of steps to restrict registration to only allow active families to enroll in the Parent Portal.

Step One: Update Class Settings

Follow these instructions to Use Edit All Classes to update class settings for multiple classes at once and update the following settings:

Allow Online Reg?: Set this to No - This prevents the class from appearing on the online registration form for new families
Allow Portal?: Set this to Yes - This enables a family with an existing account to enroll through the Parent Portal

Step Two: Update Parent Portal Settings

Go to the Gear icon > Settings > Parent Portal > Settings tab.
Scroll to the Class Enrollment Settings section.
Select the checkbox to Prevent Inactive Families from enrolling.

When you are ready to open registration to everyone, update the class settings to allow new families to register using the Online Registration form and clear the checkbox in the Parent Portal Settings to allow existing families not currently enrolled in classes to register in their portals.
