Camp Max Size - enrollment appears to exceed max
Objective
Understand how Camp max sizes are calculated when using Core Time and Half-Day enrollments.
Solution
To accurately track capacity, the Camp's max size is based on unique student headcount across time periods rather than total enrollments.
When camps include Core Time and Half-Day options, students may attend during different time segments. This allows more total enrollments without exceeding the maximum number of students present at any given time.
- Students enrolled in Half-Day Part 1 only occupy a spot during that time, leaving availability for a different student in Half-Day Part 2.
- Students enrolled in Half-Day Part 2 only occupy a spot during that time, allowing flexibility in Half-Day Part 1.
- Students enrolled in the Core Time Period occupy a spot across both Half-Day Part 1 and Half-Day Part 2, reducing availability in both segments.
