Mass drop students when classes end or are canceled

Objective

Drop multiple class enrollments after classes end or are canceled so affected students and families can become inactive.

Solution

Changing a class to inactive does not drop its students or make their families inactive. Use Mass Drop to drop the class enrollments.

  1. Go to the All Classes grid.
  2. Use the grid filters to display the classes with enrollments to be dropped.
  3. Select the checkbox to the right of each class name to drop enrollments from specific classes. If no classes are selected, Mass Drop applies to all classes in the filtered results.
  4. Select the More Options (3 dots) icon to the right of the grid, and then select Mass Drop.
  5. Enter the Drop Date.
  6. Under Have these classes been completed?, select:

    • Yes — The enrollments are not counted as drops.
    • No — The enrollments are counted as drops and appear in Drop History.
  7. Select a Reason for the drop.
  8. Add Notes if desired.
  9. Select Drop.

ℹ️ Students with no other active enrollments become inactive. A family becomes inactive when it has no remaining active students.
