Email - URL domain error due to unsupported characters

Resolve the error "The domain portion of a URL may only contain letters, numbers, periods, and dashes" when sending an email with a link.

Solution

Certain characters in URLs aren't supported in outgoing emails sent from Jackrabbit. When a link contains an unsupported character, the email can't be sent.

To work around this restriction, shorten the URL using a link-shortening service, such as TinyURL, and use the shortened URL in the email.

Alternatively, share the original link with your families outside of Jackrabbit's email feature.
